This activity runs on a Friday evening between 7pm and 10pm, for teens from Grade 7 to Grade 12 (during school terms). Teens meet to chat to their friends and youth leaders and to engage in an inspiring time learning about God. There is also small group time where single-sexed groups are formed so that both sexes can ask gender specific questions in a “private” way.
Teens take part in the regular Sunday morning church worship service but once the sermon begins, they go to a different venue and engage in “teen church”, a time to deal with topics relevant to them.
A number of schools in the area have extended the opportunity to GCC to become involved in their SCA activities. These schools include Durban Girls’ High, Carrington Heights, and Durban Primary School.
Through a process of discipleship, teens become involved in different ministries at Glenwood Community Church. There are a number of teens who are involved in Childrens’ Church and in the worship team.
Some teens provide valuable assistance at the Soccer Clinics and Holiday Clubs.
